This is a Prestine "Alaska" antique 1891-1914, flow blue, china, platter made in Staffordshire England by W.H. Grindley. It features a cobalt-blue transfer-ware pattern around the edge of an oval-shaped, white, porcelain-china platter. This flow-blue pattern is called “Alaska”. It has a high-rim, scalloped edge and measures 10.25 inches wide by 14.25 inches in length. It is stamped on the bottom with the makers name & pattern depicting a globe with a steamer ship above along with an incised #57.
It has no chips, cracks or crazing, just minor marks from utensils in the center.
